From the lush jungles of Dominica to the hearts of animal lovers across the U.S., Friends of Saint Nicholas Animal Rescue, Inc. exists to make rescue possible.
We are a U.S.-based, female-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit, registered out of Florida, that supports St. Nicholas Animal Rescue (SNAR) in Dominica — a small island with a big animal welfare problem and even bigger heart.

🍚 Food for the forgotten – The FOSNAR team worked to secure and fund enough rice, at a favorable price, so that no SNAR dog goes hungry. The team also established a solid business relationship to continue the favorable rice deals and keep bellies full for moving forward.

Our Fosters — The Heart Between Rescue and Home
Every rescued animal needs a soft place to land — and that’s where our Fosters come in.
They open their homes and hearts to dogs fresh off long journeys, giving them love, patience, and a chance to trust again.
Fostering isn’t just emotional — it’s vital to our Flight Angel Program. Shelters can only take in dogs at specific times, and foster homes bridge that gap. Every spare room and every kind hand makes it possible for us to say yes when a life needs saving.
